Jammu and Kashmir: A landslide has occurred in Ardhkumwari located on the Mata Vaishno Devi ( Vaishno Devi ) temple route in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. An official has said that this area is affected by landslides. Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has informed on its official X handle that this landslide has happened near Indraprastha Bhojanalaya and many people are likely to be injured. According to the information, Vaishno Devi Yatra has been stopped after this accident. According to the information revealed, 8 people died and about a dozen people are injured in the landslide on the way to Vaishno Devi temple.
Where did the accident happen?
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board said in its tweet- “There has been a landslide near Indraprastha Bhojanalaya located at Ardhkumwari, some people are feared to be injured. Rescue operations are underway with necessary manpower and machinery. Jai Mata Di.”
Several passengers seriously injured
According to the information received so far, when the landslide occurred near the Bhojanalaya in Ardhkumwari on the Mata Vaishno Devi route, many passengers were present at the spot. Earlier, it was reported that many passengers had suffered serious injuries. However, official information has come to light that 8 people have died and a large number of people are injured in the landslide on the way to Vaishno Devi temple.
Amit Shah expressed grief
The accident caused by the landslide due to heavy rains on the Vaishno Devi Yatra route in Jammu and Kashmir is very sad. In this regard, spoke to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah ji and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha ji. The local administration is engaged in relief and rescue work to help the injured and the NDRF team is also reaching there.

Cloud burst in Doda
The situation is very serious in various parts of Jammu due to heavy rains. Almost all the rivers and streams in Jammu division are flowing above or close to the danger mark, vehicular movement on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway has been stopped. After the cloud burst in Doda, mountains have slipped at many places. There are also reports of 3 to 4 people dying. CM Omar Abdullah has directed the administration to maintain high alert.
More than 10 passenger services have been canceled in view of passenger safety due to excessive rainfall in Jammu. General Manager Northern Railway and Divisional Railway Manager Jammu along with their technical team are present in Pathankot and are continuously monitoring the situation.
