Gopashtami festival: 8 days after Govardhan Puja, Gopashtami festival is celebrated. This festival is associated with Lord Krishna. Blessings are taken from them by serving the cow dynasty on this day.
It is believed that Lord Indra had rained heavily for several days to submerge the people of Nand village in water. During this, from Kartik Shukla Pratipada to Saptami, Lord Shri Krishna wore Govardhan mountain on his finger. Due to which the rain of Indra Devta did not have any effect on the people of the village. On the eighth day, Indra Dev realized his mistake and went to Lord Krishna to ask for forgiveness. Since then the festival of Gopashtami is celebrated on the day of Kartik Shukla Ashtami.

Know the auspicious time of worship
This time the auspicious time of Gopashtami 2021) will start from 06:49 am on 12th November and will continue till 05:51 am on 13th November.

Try to get up early in the morning on the day of Gopashtami. After this, feed the cows by giving them jaggery and bread etc. and serve them. The cowherds who serve the cows on that day should also be honored by giving them gifts. After worshiping the cows in the evening, give them something to eat again. After this, worship the feet of Gaumata by applying soil on the forehead. Also, pray to God that he keeps getting this opportunity to do cow service again and again.
Cow is considered to be the most sacred animal in Hinduism. It is believed that all the gods and goddesses reside in the cow. There is a mention of Kamadhenu in mythological texts. Kamdhenu is believed to have originated during the churning of the ocean between the Devas and the Asuras.
