The husband with whom a woman had vowed to perform seven births, but when her eyes fought with a younger man, she made a promise to her lover not to fast for her husband before Karva Chauth. After which she along with her lover conspired to kill her own husband. After which the wife brutally killed her husband.
Actually, Chinore police of Gwalior district got information that a dead body is floating in the old canal near Chinor. After which the police took out the body from the water and got it post-mortem, it was revealed that the person died not by drowning in water but by strangulation. After which the police started investigating the matter. The incident happened on 6 September. About 20 days later, the deceased was identified as Poshan Singh Rawat, Deori Kala Gaon, whose wife Basanti Devi Rawat had lodged a missing report. During the investigation, when the police suspected the wife, the police interrogated the wife, then the whole matter came to light.
Disclosing the matter, the police said that Poshan Singh Rawat and Basati were married about 11 years ago, both of whom also have two children, a boy and a girl. Nutrition used to work as a laborer. According to Basanti’s statements, her husband was addicted to alcohol and used to beat her every day. Meanwhile, Basanti fell in love with Manish Rawat, who was 11 years younger than herself. Both were so madly in love with each other that they conspired to kill Poshan Singh.
Boyfriend Manish Rawat this time asked his girlfriend Basanti not to observe Karva Chauth fast for her husband. The wife also said that this time she does not want to fast for the wife. In such a situation, both of them made a plan to remove Paushan from the way. On September 4, lover Manish reached Basanti’s house. Basanti entangled both her children in some work and together they killed Paushan Singh. The wife sat on the husband’s chest and the lover strangled her, then the wife also pressed her throat, due to which she died on the spot.
After the murder, Manish Rawat fled from the spot. Because he alone could not succeed in disposing of Paushan’s corpse. In such a situation, he said that he would dispose of the dead body at night the next day. The surprising thing is that Basanti kept her husband’s body in the house overnight, Basanti blew the sheet to her husband and she slept with him. So that the children do not suspect that their father has died. The wife also spent the day of September 5 in such a way that everyone felt that Paushan Singh was alive and resting. On the night of 5th, Manish arrived with his friend Ravindra and took the dead body of Paushan Singh on a bike. He made Manish sit on the bike in such a way that people thought that three youths were going on a bike, both of them went about four kilometers away and threw the dead body of Paushan Singh in the canal.
The special thing is that it can probably be called a coincidence that the wife Basanti had vowed not to keep the fast of Karva Chauth for her husband and killed him on 4 September, but about 52 days after the incident, on the occasion of Karva Chauth. The matter came to light the very next day itself. After the incident, the police arrested all three Basanti, her lover Manish Rawat and Ravindra Rawat.
