New Delhi: Not only has the weather pattern changed amidst the snowfall on the mountains, but now cold wave has started in some areas of the country. The chill has increased from Delhi-NCR to UP-Bihar, while cold wave has knocked in Rajasthan. Cold has increased in most parts of North and Central India and the temperature continues to drop. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature will remain between 8-10 degree Celsius in most parts for the next few days. There is a possibility of snowfall in some areas of Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir and Uttarakhand even today, while the rainy season will continue in the states of South India.
According to the Meteorological Department, there will be light to moderate rains in South Peninsular India during the next 5 days. Not only this, the minimum temperature is likely to remain between 8-10 degree Celsius in many parts of northwest and adjoining central India during the next 4-5 days. According to the weather forecast issued by IMD, it will rain in parts of Tamil Nadu, Andaman-Nicobar, South Karnataka and Rayalaseema, Telangana, Goa and Andhra Pradesh even today. On the other hand, if we talk about the temperature, a drop in temperature of 2-3 degree Celsius will be seen in East India. This means that the outbreak of cold is going to increase in East India.

The air quality in Delhi remained in the ‘poor’ category on Thursday, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season’s average. The cold has suddenly increased in many areas of Rajasthan. A significant drop in temperature has been recorded in Fatehpur and Churu areas and there is a cold wave-like situation. Snowfall is continuing in the upper reaches of Himachal Pradesh, while in Uttarakhand and Kashmir, there is a possibility of snowfall even today. According to the weather information website Skymet Weather, today light to moderate rain is possible in parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Along with this, there is a possibility of light rain at one or two places in Lakshadweep, Telangana and Goa. At the same time, cold wave conditions are likely to continue in some parts of Rajasthan. The cold wind coming from the north and northwest direction may bring down the maximum and minimum temperatures over parts of northwest, central and east India.
