After warning Indians to leave Lebanon immediately, Air India has now cancelled all its flights to Tel Aviv. Due to this, many passengers also had to face trouble. But the government has also issued advice to all passengers going to Israel to avoid traveling to Tel Aviv.
Air India on Thursday cancelled its flight from the national capital to Tel Aviv, citing operational reasons. The flight has been cancelled in the backdrop of increasing tension in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. Air India operates four flights from Delhi to Tel Aviv every week. In an update on its website, Air India said it has cancelled its flight AI139 from Delhi to Tel Aviv and flight AI140 from Tel Aviv to Delhi on August 1 due to operational reasons. “Passengers with confirmed bookings for travel on both these flights will be given a one-time waiver on rescheduling and cancellation charges. We apologize for the inconvenience,” the statement said.
