Washington: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt announced that US President Donald Trump ( Hormuz) met first with Ukrainian President Zelenskyy and subsequently with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The US stated that Trump’s meetings with leaders from both nations have concluded and were positive. While Trump held meetings with both Zelenskyy and Netanyahu, details regarding the discussions remain undisclosed.

According to photos released on social media by Israeli PM Netanyahu’s office, the meeting was attended by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and other senior administration officials. While the specific content of the discussions remains unclear, the agenda likely included the US-Israel-Iran dynamic as well as Israel’s ongoing conflicts in Lebanon and Gaza.
The US confirmed that Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth participated in the meeting between the President and Benjamin Netanyahu. The meeting was closed to the press, and detailed information is not yet available.
What Zelenskyy Said
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he discussed licensing with US President Donald Trump that would enable his country to manufacture Patriot interceptors. Zelenskyy noted that he spoke with Trump about the production of Patriot missiles, though it remains unclear whether an agreement was reached. Zelenskyy met with Trump at the White House just as Trump was scheduled to hold a separate meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
It is worth noting that the US has extensively deployed some of its most powerful and costly weaponry during the conflict involving Iran. These include Patriot interceptor missiles, which were used to destroy Iranian ballistic and cruise missiles as well as Tehran’s suicide drones.
Iran issues fresh threats
Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, has warned that Tehran would consider “any measure”—including resuming hostilities—to maintain control over the Strait of Hormuz. According to a report by the Fars News Agency, Gharibabadi stated that if Iran were to open a southern route near the coast of Oman—where it has previously fired upon vessels—it would be unable to “exercise its sovereignty.” He further added, “Any European vessel approaching Hormuz will be a legitimate target for us.”
