An agreement has been reached between the two nations to reopen the Strait of Hormuz—crucial for the global economy—and to halt military operations. The agreement will be formally signed this coming Friday in Switzerland. Although detailed specifics of the agreement have not yet been released, sensitive issues such as Iran’s nuclear program are likely to be discussed later.

Congratulations to everyone.” “I authorize the complete opening of the Strait of Hormuz for free movement with immediate effect and the lifting of the US naval blockade.”
The US has indicated that it will also ease sanctions on Iran to strengthen the war-torn Iranian economy and enable it to sell larger quantities of oil.
Agreement will not be implemented before Friday
Meanwhile, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed the agreement on state television. He stated that the consensus was reached following marathon talks lasting over 14 hours in Tehran with a representative from the mediating country, Qatar. However, he clarified that Iran would not begin implementing the agreement before the formal signing takes place on Friday.
