IPS officers transferred in Telangana(Telangana)

Delhi: In a major reshuffle of Indian Police Service (IPS) officers in Telangana,  (Telangana) the state government on Saturday appointed Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General CV Anand as Hyderabad Police Commissioner. He will replace Kothakota Srinivas Reddy. According to the order issued by the state Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari on Saturday, Additional Director General of Police (Personnel) Vijay Kumar has been transferred to the post of DG, ACB.

Mahesh M Bhagwat, Additional Director General (Law and Order) has been given full additional charge of the post of Additional Director General (Personnel and Welfare) till further orders. M Ramesh, Inspector General of Police, ‘Provisioning and Logistics’, DGP Office has been given full additional charge of the post of Inspector General of Police (Sports) till further orders. Anand has previously held the post of Hyderabad Police Commissioner.

14 IPS officers transferred in Bihar

Before Telangana, 14 IPS officers have been transferred in Bihar and 108 IAS officers in Rajasthan. The Bihar government has transferred 14 senior officers of the Indian Police Service (IPS), including five Inspector Generals (IGs). According to a statement issued by the Home Department of Bihar late Wednesday evening, Shalin (IPS-2001 batch) has been made the IG of Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP), while Rakesh Rathi (IPS-2002 batch) has been appointed to the post of IG (Training). Rajesh Kumar has been appointed IG of Mithila region, while Vinay Kumar has been appointed IG (Headquarters). The order said that Shivdeep Wamanrao has been appointed IG (Purnia Range). Vikas Kumar has been appointed the new DIG of Begusarai range while Babu Ram has been appointed DIG of Tirhut range. Nilesh Kumar will be the new DIG of Saran range and Rashid Zaman has been appointed the new DIG (Administration) of Patna, the order said.
