Indian Hockey Team: The Indian hockey team had a spectacular start in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2025 when it defeated Korea 1-0. Following this, the Indian team’s second match was scheduled for today against Belgium. However, rain fell as soon as the match began and proved to be the biggest villain. Consequently, the match       (match )   had to be postponed. The match will now be played on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.

Match stopped due to rain
The match between India and Belgium started on time but was stopped after just three minutes due to heavy rain. The match then resumed at 8:45 pm. However, with the weather failing to improve, the decision was made to postpone the match until tomorrow. A statement issued by the organizers stated that the Indian men’s hockey team’s Sultan Azlan Shah Cup match against Belgium has been postponed. The match will now take place tomorrow. India is playing in the tournament after six years.

A spectacular win against Korea
In the match against Korea, the Indian players maintained pressure from the start and created scoring opportunities. India found success before the end of the first quarter when Mohammad Raheel converted a brilliant team move into a goal, giving the team a 1-0 lead, which remained until the end, as no Korean player could score. The win earned India three points.

Indian team ranked third
New Zealand, having played two matches in the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup 2025, has four points after winning one and drawing one. Malaysia, on the other hand, is in second place, also with four points after two matches. The Indian hockey team is in third place, having played one match so far and winning that one. Belgium is in fourth place.
