Snowfall changed the picture of the valleys
Let us tell you that the oppression of winter continues in North India. But snowfall in the mountains has worsened the condition of common people. However, a large number of tourists are also arriving to enjoy this snowfall. These days, the plains are in the grip of fog and cold wave, while snowfall on the mountains has changed the picture of the valleys. Due to fresh snowfall on the hills of Himachal, the temperature of almost the entire state came down. Due to changing weather patterns, there was snowfall in the higher reaches of Manali since morning, this was the first snowfall of the year 2024.
First snowfall of the season in Bharmour
A large number of tourists are also reaching Manali to enjoy the snowfall, due to which once again a traffic jam like situation has arisen here. There was snowfall in the area of South Portal of Manali’s famous tourist place Atal Tunnel Rohtang. After which the road there was almost closed. In Himachal’s Bharmour, the first snowfall of the season occurred for some time and later the sun shone. However, a short snowfall was enough to change the mood of the weather.
The weather took a turn in the mountains
Along with Himachal, snowfall continues in Kashmir also. After snowfall in the upper areas of the valley on Friday morning, the temperature came down rapidly. Also, roads have been almost completely closed in many areas. Snowfall may have taken some time to reach Kashmir, but after Himachal, the weather has finally taken a turn here too. After the latest snowfall in Kashmir, while the picture of the mountains became pleasant, the condition of the roads became worse.
A thick layer of snow on the roads completely halted the movement of vehicles. The administration is continuously trying to remove snow to open the roads. Light snowfall in the higher reaches of Kashmir ended the dry season that had been going on for almost two months in the valley. There was snowfall in Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Gurez, Machil, Karnah Doodhpathri and Shopian areas of the valley, there was light drizzle in some parts of Srinagar city but after morning there was bright sunshine. However, despite all these difficulties, tourists reached Shopian to enjoy the snowfall. Even though the temperature dropped after the snowfall, the enthusiasm of the tourists did not diminish.
