Ankara: Tensions between the US and Iran show no signs of abating. Beyond peace talks, both nations are threatening each other with attacks and engaging in retaliatory actions. US President Donald Trump (Trump ) is currently visiting Turkey. He has traveled to the Turkish capital, Ankara, to attend a NATO summit. Additionally, his visit focuses on several key issues regarding US-Turkey relations and regional security.
“I’d rather be number one on TikTok” – Trump
Donald Trump made a significant statement regarding Iran while in Turkey. Speaking to the media, US President Donald Trump said, “I am number one on Iran’s kill list. I don’t care about it because I am doing my job. I hope I am doing it better than anyone else, because our country is moving forward rapidly and is truly very successful. I would prefer to be number one on TikTok, but I am number one on the kill list.”
“We strike back ten times harder” – Trump
When asked if a war with Iran was about to break out, US President Donald Trump said, “I don’t think it will start up again. I think it will end very quickly. They attacked some ships, and we struck back much harder. When they attack, we strike back ten times harder. We hit them much harder. We have far superior weapons.”
“Whatever happens, it will end very quickly”
Trump said, “Someone asked me earlier if I thought I would attack them tonight. I said, ‘We might.’ But when they attack, we attack back. We speak their language.” “I think whatever happens, it will be over very quickly. We will make it more secure, including regarding oil.”
We have the Strait of Hormuz – Trump
The US President further stated, “Oil supplies will be easy and unhindered, and it will all happen very fast. We have the Strait of Hormuz. The boats are gone. There is a massive supply of oil right now. We have plenty of oil. Whatever happens, it will happen very quickly. We are not looking at a long-drawn-out conflict.”
Speaking to the media, Donald Trump said, “I am not sure if I want to make a deal with them (Iran) or not. We can play games, but I am not certain I want a deal. Let’s just get the job done.”
If I weren’t President, Israel wouldn’t exist – Trump
Trump said, “We would never want Iran to possess nuclear weapons because that is crucial. Oil prices are falling rapidly. They might rise a bit now, but this will all be over very soon. I need to ensure that control over nuclear weapons doesn’t fall into the hands of irrational people. There is no way they can have nuclear weapons. If that hadn’t been prevented, they would have had nuclear weapons and destroyed Israel. If I weren’t President, Israel wouldn’t exist.”
