Haridwar: BJP Yuva Morcha leader accused of marrying second time while his first wife is alive, commotion in police station!

Haridwar: In politics, there are often discussions about morality and family values, but a shocking case has come to light in Haridwar. BJP Yuva Morcha Bahadarabad Mandal’s General Secretary and former Mandal Vice President Sunil Pal alias Bhura has been accused of marrying a second time while his first wife was alive. The case came into the limelight when there was a ruckus at the Jagjitpur police station late on Monday night.

A girl from the neighbourhood started living in the house of Sunil Pal, resident of Vikas Colony, Raja Garden under Ranipur Assembly constituency. Seeing this, the girl’s family got worried and when they went to take her back, Sunil Pal claimed that he had made the girl his wife by marrying her in court. On this, the girl’s family created a ruckus and started beating their own daughter. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took everyone to Jagjitpur police station.

On hearing the news of the uproar, Sunil Pal’s first wife also reached the police station with her eight-year-old child. There she scolded the second woman and her husband and expressed her anger. The first wife alleges that neither divorce has taken place nor any kind of legal separation has taken place. Despite this, Sunil Pal has married for the second time, which is against both law and morality.

The police calmed down the situation by talking to both the parties, but no case was registered as no party gave a written complaint. Currently, both the parties have been counselled and sent home.

After this case came to light, questions have also started being raised on the image of the youth wing of BJP. It has become a matter of discussion within the party whether the party will take any disciplinary action in this matter or will remain silent. Earlier also, a former MLA of the party has been accused of family dispute.

Criticism over this incident has intensified in social and political circles. Analysts believe that such incidents not only affect the party’s image but also hamper the party’s efforts to connect with the youth.
