Tel Aviv: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has given a big statement in his address to the nation after the killing of Hamas (Hama) chief Ismail Haniyeh alias Ismail Haniyeh. He gave a direct warning to Iran and Hezbollah and said, “If there is any attack on any front, it will have to pay a heavy price”. Let us tell you that this statement of Netanyahu has come after the killing of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran and a senior leader of Hezbollah in Beirut. Netanyahu said that if there is any attack on Israel, it will give a strong response to it.
Netanyahu said that Israel has given a severe blow to Iran’s representatives including Hamas and Hezbollah in the last few days. However, Netanyahu did not mention Haniyeh’s killing, for which Israel has been threatened with revenge. With this, the concern of a wider conflict in the Middle East has increased even more. He said, “Citizens of Israel, challenging days are ahead. Threats are being heard from every side since the attack in Beirut. We are ready for any situation and we will remain united and determined against any threat. Those who carry out any attack against Israel will have to pay a heavy price.
Claim to have killed Hezbollah commander
The Israeli army announced late Tuesday that it had killed Hezbollah’s most senior commander, Fuad Shukr. This Hezbollah commander was guilty of killing a dozen children in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights late last week. According to Hezbollah sources and Israeli officials, Shukr was also an advisor to Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. Iran-backed Hezbollah confirmed his death on Wednesday. Just hours later, the Palestinian armed group Hamas announced that its leader Haniyeh had been assassinated in Tehran.
