Jerusalem: The war between Russia and Ukraine had not even ended when war broke out between Israel and Palestine. In a video, the body of an Israeli soldier can be seen being dragged by an angry mob of Palestinians inside Gaza.
There is a danger of this attack turning into a major conflict. Previous conflicts between Hamas and Israel had resulted in large-scale deaths and destruction in Gaza. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, ‘We are at war.’ Along with this, Netanyahu also announced a massive military mobilization. He said, ‘This is not a campaign, but a war.’ Netanyahu said this in his televised address after a large number of rockets were fired by Hamas and the infiltration of extremists in southern Israel. He claimed that Hamas ‘will pay a price that it could not even imagine’.
At a meeting of top security officials later on Saturday, Netanyahu said the first priority was to clear the area of enemy infiltrators, then ‘extort a heavy price from the enemy’ and consolidate other areas so that no other militant group could join the war.
