New Delhi: The winter session of Parliament is going to start from today. It is believed that on the first day of the session itself, a heated atmosphere can be seen in the Parliament. A tense atmosphere was also seen in the all-party meeting held on Sunday before the winter session. The Aam Aadmi Party walked out of the meeting and the opposition criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not attending the meeting.
On the first day of the winter session, the discussion on MSP and electricity bill for farmers can be done. Along with this, the opposition can also raise the issue of compensation for the families of those who died of Kovid-19. The opposition is unitingly making a plan to surround the government on the very first day of the Parliament session. Pegagus, China’s aggression on the border and rising fuel prices including petrol and diesel are also likely to be discussed.
Significantly, the government has already announced that on the first day of the winter session itself, a bill to repeal the controversial three agricultural laws will also be introduced in the house. The ruling party BJP and the main opposition Congress have issued whip to their MPs and directed them to be present in the House on the first day of the session. Regarding the winter session, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Meghwal has said that the government is ready to discuss any topic in this session but the debate should be completely positive.
We expect cooperation from the opposition
Meghwal said, ‘The government is ready to hold discussions on the issues of the opposition under the rules. We expect cooperation from the opposition. He said that the government urges the opposition to discuss these important bills related to economic reforms and regulation on some major subjects and cooperate in getting them passed.
Let us inform that with the Kovid-19 guidelines, the winter session of Parliament will run till 23 December in which there will be a total of 20 sittings. A total of 26 bills, including cryptocurrency regulation, data protection bill, extension of tenure of directors of ED and CBI, are likely to be introduced during these meetings.
Farmers will prepare strategy outside Parliament
It is not that the atmosphere inside the Parliament will remain hot in the winter session. While the opposition is planning to surround the government in the house, farmers can further heat the atmosphere by marching outside the house to the Parliament. Although there is some relief to the government that the United Kisan Morcha has postponed the tractor rally to be held till the Parliament on November 29, but the farmers organization said that if the government does not respond to their demands by December 4, then further action will be taken. Bills related to banking and pension may be introduced
An important bill related to economic reforms, Banking Law Amendment Bill 2021 can also be introduced in the winter session. Through this, further amendments will be made in the Banking Companies Act, the Banking Regulation Act. At the same time, the PFRDA Amendment Bill related to pension reform is an important bill related to economic reforms, through which it has been proposed to strengthen the pension sector of the country. In the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Second Amendment Bill 2021, it has been said to make the existing bankruptcy law more powerful.
