G-20 summit in Delhi this week(G-20 summit ) 

New Delhi. The G-20 Summit (G-20 summit )  is going to be held in Delhi on 9 and 10 September and for this International Exhibition cum Convention Center has been set up at Pragati Maidan; Which has been named Bharat Mandapam. Itwas inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on July 26. Actually, there is a big reason behind naming it Bharat Mandapam. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had told about this that it was inspired by Lord Basaveshwara’s ‘Anubhav Mandapam’ which means democratic method of debate and dialogue.

Bharat Mandapam’s architect Sanjay Singh has said that it has been made as a window to Delhi. This will give a glimpse of the cultural and diverse heritage of India. Actually, PM Modi’s thinking has come in handy behind this also. Sanjay Singh has told. He said that Bharat Mandapam is the biggest convention center of the country. For this, PM Modi had expressed his desire that it should be a modern building associated with Indian values, traditions and culture.

Important facts related to Bharat Mandapam

The redevelopment of Pragati Maidan started in 2017 and for this work was done under the National Project. Rs 2,700 crore has been spent on this. 750 crores have been spent on the construction of Bharat Mandapam alone. It is spread over about 123 acres. The country’s largest convention center has a seating capacity of 10,000 people.
Bharat Mandapam is built in three floors and the G-20 summit is going to be held here. The impression of Indian culture can be seen on its every floor. It has been decorated very beautifully. The heritage of Indian traditional diversity, art and multiculturalism can be seen in every room and everywhere.
A hall has also been made in Bharat Mandapam in which 7 thousand people can sit together comfortably. It is one of the largest halls in the world and is much bigger than the Opera House of Sydney (Australia).
Another great feature of Bharat Mandapam is that open amphitheater is also built in it. In these, more than 3 thousand people can sit together at a time. The total area of Bharat Mandapam is about 26 times bigger than the football stadium.
VIP lounge areas have also been created in Bharat Mandapam. It has been constructed on three floors with different features. Actually it has been prepared for meeting, conference and exhibition.
On the first floor, there are well-organized and modern facilities for conference rooms, which will be used in many ways. There are 18 such big rooms on this floor and there is also a VIP lounge.
The second floor in Bharat Mandapam has also been made grand and attractive. It has two modern halls. A big lounge area has also been created here. It is so big that it can also be used as a summit room.
The third floor of Bharat Mandapam has the capacity to seat seven thousand people simultaneously. It has a big hall in which 4 thousand people can sit together, then there is an amphitheater on the third floor itself, in which 3 thousand people can sit.
From security arrangements to parking in Bharat Mandapam, care has been taken. Here 4 thousand big vehicles can be parked comfortably in the underground parking, while one thousand vehicles can be easily parked in the ground parking.
Everything in Bharat Mandapam is very grand. Here beautiful carpets made by the hands of famous artists of India have been spread. Kashmiri carpets have been spread at the venue of the G-20 summit. Bharat Mandapam will be opened for common citizens after the G-20 summit.
