48-Hour Ultimatum
US President Donald Trump has issued a warning stating that if Iran fails to fully reopen the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, the United States will obliterate its energy infrastructure. Trump delivered this warning via a social media post while spending the weekend in Florida. He stated that Iran is being given exactly 48 hours to reopen this vital waterway; otherwise, it will face fresh attacks. He added that the United States would “destroy various energy facilities, starting with the largest one.” Amidst surging oil prices, pressure is mounting on Trump to secure the Strait of Hormuz.
