The passengers who landed safely have appreciated the immediate action of the Indian Navy. Had there been any delay in landing the plane safely, there could have been a major accident. Later all the passengers of this plane were sent to Tel Aviv by another plane. The pilot had informed the nearest airport as per protocol. Explaining the reason, the pilot had sought permission to make an emergency landing in India.

According to the information, the Israeli plane was going from Bangkok to Tel Aviv, when the pilot noticed that the fuel leak indicator ie Fuel Leak Indicator was turned on. For this reason he had to immediately shut down the affected engine and ask permission for an emergency landing. The aircraft was then in an airfield operated by the Indian Navy. When the pilot sought help narrating the developments, the Navy immediately took necessary action and made an emergency landing of the aircraft ELAL-082 at Dabolim Airport in Goa.

Goa Airport Director Gagan Malik said that after the emergency landing, all the passengers were sent to Tel Aviv by another plane. At the same time, the Navy also told about the incident that the left engine of the aircraft had to be shut down, and a state of emergency was declared. In such a situation, the ongoing upgrade work in the airspace was stopped. Following the standard operating procedures, action was taken to recover the aircraft safely. A safe landing of the aircraft was made possible.

Experts said that if the plane needs to be landed immediately due to technical problem, ill health of a passenger or any other reason, the pilots inform the ATC (Air Traffic Control) near the airspace. If the facility to take off the aircraft is available, then emergency landing is done after permission. In such a situation, the traffic of the airport, the condition of the runway etc. are important reasons.
