: Everyone’s eyes on three seats of UP today
Although voting is going on for 14 Lok Sabha seats in UP today, but most of the eyes will be on three seats out of them. Yes, the third seat along with Amethi-Rae Bareli is Lucknow from where Modi government minister Rajnath Singh is in the election fray. BJP’s Smriti Irani is contesting from Amethi and Congress’s Kishori Lal Sharma is contesting against her. Rahul Gandhi himself is in the fray from Rae Bareli. BJP has given ticket to Dinesh Pratap Singh against Rahul. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is contesting from Lucknow seat for the third time. Rajnath Singh is pitted against the current Samajwadi Party MLA from Lucknow Central, Ravidas Mehrotra. Obviously, this phase is as important for the BJP as it is for the opposition parties. The fifth phase is considered decisive.
