According to the claim, Ravana’s body has been kept in a cave at a height of 8 thousand feet in the forests of Ragala in Sri Lanka. No human being comes here because there is a danger of dangerous animals being present here.
Sri Lanka’s International Ramayana Research Center has discovered 50 sites related to Ramayana. These places are also mentioned in Ramayana. One of these is the forest of Ragala in Sri Lanka, in the middle of which there is a huge mountain, where the dead body of Ravana is being claimed to be kept.
The mountain cave in which Ravana’s body is claimed to be kept is situated at a height of 8 thousand feet in the forests of Ragla. Ravana’s body has been kept in a 17 feet long coffin.
It is said that Ravana’s dead body has been kept in the form of a mummy. Such a coating has been applied on its body that it has not spoiled even after 10 thousand years of Ravana’s death.
It is also said that there is a priceless treasure of Ravana under this coffin. This treasure is guarded by a fierce snake and many ferocious animals.
People believe that after the killing of Ravana, Lord Shri Ram handed over the body to Vibhishana, but in his haste he forgot to cremate it. After which Ravana’s dead body is lying as it is.
It is also claimed that the people of Nagkul took Ravana’s dead body with them because they believed that Ravana’s death was momentary and he would come back alive. But this could not happen.
