Macron entered politics leaving his job as a civil servant
Macron studied at the cole National d’Administration, an elite school in France. He was earlier a senior civil servant. Then worked as a banker in Rothschild for a few years. After that he became the economic adviser to the socialist President Francis Hollande. He stepped into the political scene from behind-the-scenes roles after being appointed economy minister in Hollande’s government from 2014 to 2016.
