Kabul: Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Afghanistan’s western province of Badghis on Monday. More than 12 people died in the damage caused by this. At the same time, many people are said to be injured in accidents at different places. The magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 5.6 on the Richter scale.
Badghis governor Mohamed Saleh said several people in Qadis district were crushed to death when the roof of a house collapsed. Apart from this, many other people have also been injured, including children and women, he said.
Similar tremors were felt in the northern part of Pakistan on Friday. The magnitude of this earthquake was reported to be 5.6. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the epicenter of the 5.6 magnitude earthquake in the country was in the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border area at a depth of 100 km.
