DRDO officer arrested in a case of honeytrap ( honeytrap)

Pune. Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad has arrested a senior DRDO officer in a suspected case of honey trap.   ( honeytrap) The ATS suspects that the officer was allegedly in touch with intelligence agencies based in Pakistan. It is being told that the accused officer has worked on many important projects of DRDO including many missiles. A case has been registered against him under the Official Secrets Act. A senior officer told ATS that the investigation was initiated after a complaint was received in this regard from DRDO. The accused was arrested on Wednesday and produced in a Pune court on Thursday, from where the ATS obtained his custody.

Police say that it mainly appears to be a case of honeytrap. The senior scientist was framed using photographs of women on social media platforms. After this he came in contact with intelligence officers based in Pakistan. According to the police, the accused scientist was in touch with the Pakistan-based operative through voice messages and video calls since September-October last year. It is suspected that he had shared some sensitive information with the operative.

Police suspect honeytrap
DRDO director Pradeep Kurulkar has been arrested by ATS. According to the ATS, the reason for this arrest has been told that DRDO operatives came in contact with India’s enemy Pakistan’s Intelligence Operative (PIO) through WhatsApp through voice messages, video calling from the DRDO office in Pune. During this, the director has misused his position against the country. The investigating agency has come to know that the operator of DRDO has illegally given intelligence to Pakistan.

According to information received from sources, DRDO director Pradeep Kurulkar got trapped in a honeytrap and provided sensitive information to a Pakistani intelligence officer. Please tell that DRDO director Pradeep Kurulkar has only 6 months left to retire. The accused were also in contact with a woman belonging to the intelligence department of Pakistan. DRDO’s vigilance and intelligence team was keeping an eye on the accused for several months. The ATS arrested the accused on Thursday under the Official Secrets Act following a complaint by a senior officer of the DRDO head quarter. The court has sent the accused to police custody till May 9.
