Donald Trump Reacts to White House Dinner Shooting, Says He Wanted to See What Was Happening

International:Donald Trump has responded to the shooting incident that took place during (Donald Trump)the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner in Washington. The former president said he remained calm during the chaos and was curious to see what was happening as security escorted him out.

Speaking in an interview, Trump described the tense situation that unfolded outside the ballroom where the event was being held. He said that although gunshots were heard, he did not panic and instead tried to understand the situation.

“I wasn’t nervous. I understand life, and anything can happen in today’s world,” Trump said. He added that his curiosity may have slowed down the response of the United States Secret Service, as he wanted to observe the situation before leaving the area.

According to Trump, security officials repeatedly asked him to duck for safety. He eventually complied, and his wife also followed the instructions as they were moved to a secure location.

Trump acknowledged that he may have made things slightly difficult for the security team by asking them to wait while he tried to assess the situation. He initially thought the noise was part of the event but later realized it was a serious security incident.

During the interview, Trump also rejected allegations linked to a suspect who reportedly sent a message before the incident. He described the claims as false and said they had no connection to him.

Trump further urged organizers not to cancel the event, emphasizing that one incident should not disrupt a long-standing tradition. He suggested that the dinner should be आयोजित again soon and maintained that such events remain important.
