Deaths continuing to wreak havoc in Russia broke all old records

Moscow: For the first time in Russia, the death toll from Kovid-19 in a day has crossed the 1,000 mark. Apart from this, an increase has also been registered in the cases of infection in the country.

The National Corona Virus Task Force said on Saturday that 1,002 people died in a day in the country, which is more than 999 from Friday’s deaths. At the same time 33,208 new cases have also been confirmed, which is 1,000 more than the figure a day earlier. In Russia, the record of daily deaths due to corona infection has been broken several times in the last few weeks, but the government is still reluctant about strict restrictions.

The authorities have tried to increase the speed of vaccination by giving lottery, bonus and other benefits, but there are many apprehensions in the minds of the people regarding vaccination, which are still hindering the efforts of the officials. The government had told this week that out of the country’s 14.6 crore population, the vaccination of about 29% of the population (about 43 million) has been completed.
