Dalit girl gangraped and murdered in West Bengal( West Bengal)

Kolkata. The Bharatiya Janata Party has strongly attacked the Trinamool Congress-led West Bengal ( West Bengal) government over the alleged gang rape and subsequent murder of a Dalit girl in Kaliaganj in North Dinajpur district of West Bengal. Leader of Opposition in the state assembly Shubhendu Adhikari alleged that the police did not allow the BJP MLAs to meet the victim’s family. He also accused the police of weakening the evidence. Shubhendu Adhikari said on Twitter that ‘BJP MLAs were not allowed to meet the victim’s family and were taken to a police station and forced to sit there, because otherwise how would the police suppress information and weaken the evidence. They are dragging the victim’s body in such an indecent manner.

Significantly, a Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped and murdered in North Dinajpur district of West Bengal. On Thursday, the local people found the body of the minor, who had gone missing. On Friday, the local people staged a sit-in demanding justice. SP Dinajpur Sana Akhtar told ANI that the victim’s body was found in Kaliaganj. After which the police swung into action and arrested both the accused. The police fired tear gas shells and lathicharged the protesters who were protesting over the incident.

The SP said that the police had to use tear gas on the protesters to recover the victim’s body so that the post-mortem could be ensured at the earliest. So that important evidence is not lost. A medical board has also been constituted to investigate the matter properly. Earlier, the National Child Rights Protection Commission also took cognizance of the matter and said that it would send a team to the spot to investigate.
