Mumbai: There has been a threat to bomb hospitals in Mumbai. Mumbai Police informed that more than 50 hospitals in Mumbai (Mumbai) including Jaslok Hospital, Raheja Hospital, Seven Hill Hospital, Kohinoor Hospital, KEM Hospital, JJ Hospital, St. George Hospital have received bomb threats. The threatening emails were sent using VPN network on June 17. The identity of the sender of the mail and the purpose of the threat has not been ascertained yet.
According to the police, all the threatening emails came from the same ID – Beeble.com. The server of this website was located in Cyprus. The mail threatened to plant bombs under the hospital beds and in the bathrooms. At present, the police is seriously investigating the matter.
Threat to Hinduja College of Commerce
Meanwhile, Mumbai’s Hinduja College of Commerce has received an email threatening to blow up the college with a bomb. The local police and bomb squad reached the spot and investigated, but nothing suspicious was found. Mumbai’s VP Road PS is investigating the matter.
Threat to blow up Nagpur Airport
Earlier, Nagpur Airport has also been threatened with a bomb. Nagpur Airport officials received an email threatening a bomb, after which a thorough security check was done there, but nothing suspicious was found. Officials said that in view of the threatening email, the security of the airport has been increased. A senior airport official said, “The Airports Authority of India (AAI) received an email threatening a bomb at Nagpur Airport, which was informed to Nagpur Airport officials at around 2:00 pm. The email said that a bomb has been placed at the airport.”
A police officer said, “Similar threats have been received at airports in other parts of the country. After the threat, a thorough search was conducted at Nagpur airport, but nothing suspicious was found. Additional police force has been deployed for the next 24 hours.” He said that in April this year too, Nagpur airport officials had received a similar bomb threat e-mail.
