With the aim of providing a clean and hygienic environment to the railway passengers, on September 30, 2025, on the fourteenth day of the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign from September 17 to October 02, 2025, Lucknow, Varanasi, of North Eastern Railway

Various cleanliness programs were organized at major stations and railway colonies within the Izzatnagar division.
Station platforms, waiting rooms, offices, and the sides of railway tracks were cleaned.

On September 30, 2025, under the Swachhata Hi Seva Abhiyan, contract
employees and railway workers cleaned the railway premises, platforms, water booths, waiting rooms, offices and both sides of the tracks at major stations of Lucknow division
. A massive cleaning drive was carried out in the railway colonies of Gonda. Inspectors checked the purity of water at the water booths of major stations. Passengers were made aware to
reduce the use of plastic and maintain cleanliness in the station premises and trains .

Under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign on the Varanasi division, railway employees and contract workers
cleaned railway premises, platforms, water booths, waiting rooms, and offices at major stations. Inspectors checked the purity of water at water
booths and inspected food stalls, giving vendors necessary suggestions for keeping food items clean. Passengers
were made aware of reducing the use of plastic and maintaining cleanliness in station premises and trains.

On the Izzatnagar division, platforms, waiting rooms, offices, circulating areas, and both sides of the tracks were cleaned at Kathgodam, Haldwani, Lalkuan, Kashipur, Rudrapur City, Bareilly City, and Kannauj stations. During this period, cleaning was also carried out at the depot, loco shed, railway colonies, and divisional offices. At the stations, railway personnel raised awareness
among passengers and employees about cleanliness .
