Patna:Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited BSNL will sell its land at two places in Bihar. Apart from this, buildings will be given on rent at about fifteen places. This is being done to get out of the troubled BSNL which is continuously making losses. BSNL Bihar has taken this decision. The Central Headquarters has also given its green signal. Due to lack of revenue, BSNL employees are not getting salary on time. Due to this many employees have left BSNL.
In the two places where BSNL has decided to sell the plots in the capital Patna, Transport Nagar has 18,000 square feet and Kidwaipuri has 27 thousand square feet. Apart from these two plots, preparations are being made to sell eight other vacant plots.
Chief General Manager Devendra Singh said that the center plans to sell the vacant lands and use them so that BSNL gets revenue. According to Mahendra Singh Dhakad, Principal General Manager of BSNL, due to less staff, offices of private companies will now be opened in many offices including Budhmarg, Bihar Sharif, Telephone Bhawan, Patel Nagar.
There is an equipment store near Transport Nagar Telephone Exchange. Many areas of South Patna are connected to this telephone exchange and 25 mobile BTS are connected from there. The long distance transmission link also passes through the Transport Nagar BSNL exchange. Any kind of tampering here can affect the BSNL service of the entire Bihar. On the other hand, Kidwaipuri is also connected to BSNL office from Boring Road, Patliputra to Bailey Road.
Two years ago, there were four thousand employees in BSNL Bihar Circle. At present only two thousand employees are left. Many buildings have become vacant due to shortage of staff. Due to the deteriorating service of BSNL, the number of subscribers is continuously decreasing. At present there are 32 lakh subscribers of BSNL mobile in Bihar. About eight lakh subscribers have decreased, while Airtel has 03.75 million and Jio has 35 million subscribers.
Salary for several months is due
