BrahMos missile destroyed the target

Live fire drill: Expansionist China is also continuously expressing dangerous intentions in the midst of Russia-Ukraine war. For the last two years, his forces have been frozen with heavy weapons in Ladakh and he is also showing an aggressive attitude in the South China Sea. In the midst of this environment, the Indian armies are also constantly trying to strengthen their preparedness to deal with any situation.

Air Force and Navy conducted live fire drill
The Indian Air Force and Navy on Tuesday conducted 2 live fire drills with the BrahMos missile, called India’s Brahmastra. In both the drills, the BrahMos missile pierced its target with accuracy. The Indian Air Force on Tuesday successfully test-fired BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from a Sukhoi fighter aircraft off the eastern coast. In this test conducted in collaboration with the Indian Navy, the BrahMos missile successfully targeted a poorly standing Navy ship in the sea.

The Indian Air Force said in its tweet, ‘Today the Air Force test-fired BrahMos missile from Sukhoi 30 MKI aircraft on the eastern seaboard. The missile hit the decommissioned ship of the Indian Navy directly under the target. This test took place in close coordination with the Indian Navy.

In 2016, the government decided to add an air-capable version of the BrahMos to over 40 Sukhoi fighter jets. The project was envisioned to enhance the capability of the IAF to strike any target at sea or on land from a large ‘stand-off range’.

Navy also did sea trials
At the same time, the Indian Navy also conducted a successful live fire drill with the BrahMos missile. INS Delhi conducted live fire drill of BrahMos missile for the first time from an advanced modular launcher. In this drill, the missile emanating from the floating warship from the sea demonstrated its long-range precision firepower.

The Navy had earlier successfully test-fired an upgraded version of the BrahMos supersonic cruise missile from a stealth destroyer INS Chennai in the Indian Ocean on March 5. In that trial too, the missile successfully hit its target.
