There was chaos inside a plane going from Kuala Lumpur to Dhaka when someone shouted that there was a bomb in the plane. All this happened when someone called the airport official and told that there was a bomb in the plane. After this the pilot took the decision and then the emergency landing of this aircraft was done. However, this emergency landing took place in Dhaka itself. After this, when the bomb was investigated, it turned out to be just a rumour.
Actually, this incident happened when the rumor of a bomb was found on the MH-196 aircraft of Malaysian Airlines on Wednesday night. There were 135 passengers on board the plane. The executive director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport said in a statement that the flight coming from Kuala Lumpur to Dhaka had landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 9.38 pm local time on Wednesday. However, it was reported when the plane was about to reach the airport.
He said that immediately after the emergency landing, the commandos and security agencies present there along with the bomb disposal team of the Air Force conducted a thorough search of the aircraft. No explosives or bomb-like objects were found inside the aircraft or in any passenger’s luggage. Before the search, the bomb disposal team had also deboarded all the passengers. Firefighters and ambulances were also kept on alert during this period.
On a phone call from Malaysia, there was a rumor that there was a bomb in this plane, which proved to be baseless. The team also conducted a thorough search of the passengers and their belongings as it was a matter of safety of the passengers. It is reported that 135 passengers were on board, including 134 Bangladeshi and one Malaysian national.
