New Delhi. Announcing a major reshuffle in the party organization, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday announced the names of new presidents in the state units. BJP G. Kishan Reddy appointed as the State President of Telangana. On the other hand, D. Purandeshwari has been made the state president of Andhra Pradesh BJP, while former CM Babulal Marandi has been made the state president of Jharkhand, and Sunil Jakhar the president of Punjab BJP.
BJP has appointed new presidents in three states with the aim of strengthening the organizational structure before the assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Assembly elections are due in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana later this year. In such a situation, there was already speculation about organizational reshuffle.
In such a situation, after this latest reshuffle of BJP, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy will replace Bandi Sanjay, the current president in Telangana. Whereas in Andhra Pradesh, Purandeshwari will now take over the responsibility of the current president Somu Veeraraju. Apart from this, Rajendra Atila has been appointed as the chairman of the Election Management Committee in Telangana BJP.
