Big relief to vehicle owners in UPi (UP)

• Lucknow. The Yogi (UP)government has given a big gift to the private and commercial vehicle owners of the state. The Yogi government has given concession to the owners who have not paid the vehicle challan in UP for a long time and has canceled their challan i.e. forgiven. With this decision of CM Yogi, lakhs of vehicle owners of the state have heaved a sigh of relief. In such a situation, all the challans issued in Uttar Pradesh between January 1, 2017 and December 31, 2021 have been cancelled, as well as those pending in various courts, apply to all vehicles.

Transport Commissioner Chandra Bhushan Singh has instructed all the divisional transport officers to delete these challans from the portal after getting the list of sub-committee cases in the court. This step of the UP government will give great relief to the rest of the people. Instructions in this regard have been sent by the government to all the divisional transport offices. It has been said in the order that after getting the list of pending challans in the court, it should be removed from the e-challan portal. According to the order, the challans deducted during the period from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2021 are being cancelled.

The Transport Commissioner said that through Uttar Pradesh Ordinance No. 2 June 2023, this system has been implemented that old pending challans should be cancelled. It may be known that farmers in Noida were staging a sit-in demanding cancellation of the challan in this way.
