Big accident in Leh of Ladakh. ( Ladakh)

New Delhi. At least 9 soldiers were killed when a military vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Leh, Ladakh. ( Ladakh) The martyrs include 2 JCOs and 7 soldiers of the army. The police has given this information on Saturday evening.

According to the information received, around 6.30 pm on Saturday evening, the vehicle met with an accident at the turn towards Nioma in Kiyari, Leh. In this accident, 9 jawans lost their lives, while one jawan was minorly injured.

Army gave information about the accident
Confirming the incident in Ladakh, a defense official said, ‘9 Indian Army soldiers lost their lives in an accident 7 km from Kiyari town, when their vehicle fell into a ditch. Many others have also been injured in the incident. He told that these soldiers were going from Karu garrison towards Kiyari near Leh.

At the same time, an Indian Army official told that an ALS vehicle which was going from Leh towards Nyoma as part of a convoy, slipped in the valley 7 km before Kiyari at around 5:45-6:00 pm. There were 10 personnel in this vehicle, out of which nine were killed and one was injured. The injured worker has been taken to the hospital.

Leh Senior Superintendent of Police PD Nitya told that there were 10 soldiers in the army vehicle and this vehicle was going from Leh towards Nyoma. He told that on the way the driver of the vehicle lost control over the vehicle and the vehicle fell into the ditch at 4.45 pm.

A police team reached the spot and all the injured soldiers were taken to the army medical unit where 8 personnel were declared brought dead. He said that later another jawan died. Another jawan is undergoing treatment and his condition is said to be ‘critical’, the official said.
