Balochs Celebrated Independence Day ( Celebrated) 

Balochistan: Balochs have launched an open rebellion against Pakistan. They have declared Balochistan an independent nation and appealed to countries worldwide to no longer recognize Balochistan as part of Pakistan, urging them instead to view the Republic of Balochistan as a sovereign state. Today, the 60 million people of Balochistan celebrated   ( Celebrated)  their Independence Day; flags were hoisted and songs of freedom were played across the region.

Independence Day Celebrated Under the Shadow of Guns
Baloch human rights activist Mir Yar Baloch stated that the Pakistani army conspired to disrupt Balochistan’s Independence Day events. Security forces were deployed throughout the region, rallies and public gatherings were banned, and mobile internet services were suspended. Despite these measures, the army could not stop the Baloch people; they celebrated their freedom under the looming threat of cannons and guns.

Events Organized Across Cities
Independence Day ceremonies were held early in the morning in various cities, including Quetta, Noshki, Kalat, Gwadar, Turbat, and Khuzdar. During these events, the Baloch national anthem was sung, sweets were distributed, and cultural programs were held—all while the Pakistani army remained powerless to intervene. Baloch leaders have declared that, henceforth, Pakistan’s Independence Day (August 14) will not be observed in Balochistan.

Pakistan’s Occupation of Balochistan
It is worth noting that in 1947, the Princely State of Kalat, located in the Balochistan region, declared its independence. For the past 79 years, the people of Balochistan have celebrated Independence Day on August 11; however, within a year of 1947, Pakistan had occupied the Balochistan territory. The struggle of Balochistan’s human rights activists against this illegal occupation continues unabated.

**Declaration of an Independent Nation**
Recently, Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch issued a statement declaring control over 85 percent of Balochistan’s territory. Alongside this, he proclaimed Balochistan an independent nation. For this new state, the Baloch people announced a separate administrative system, a new national flag, a national anthem, and a new currency named the ‘Balochi Phaloos’. The document asserted that Baloch separatists had declared independence from Pakistan.
