Chardham Yatra: Chardham Yatra will start on Friday. The doors of Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri will open on the first day. The doors of Badrinath  (Badrinath ) opened on 12 May. Dhami government has announced to shower flowers from helicopter on the occasion of opening of doors of all four Dhams. On the very first day of opening of doors, a large number of devotees have reached Uttarakhand to visit the pilgrimage sites. The government has also started registration counters for all passengers and other facilities.

Kedarnath doors opened at 7 in the morning
The doors of the famous Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri temples located in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand will be opened for devotees on Friday on the festival of Akshaya Tritiya, after being closed for six months during the winter season. With this, this year’s Chardham Yatra will also begin. Temple committees said that the doors of Kedarnath and Yamunotri will open at 7 am, while the doors of Gangotri will open at 12:20 pm.

According to the temple committees, the doors of Badrinath, another Dham included in the famous Dham known as Char Dham, will open at 6 am on May 12. Harish Gaur, media in-charge of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, said that the temple is being decorated with flowers for the inauguration of the Kedarnath temple. He told that with the help of donors, the temple is being decorated with about 20 quintals of flowers of different species, which have been transported there through helicopter.
22 lakh devotees have already registered
According to officials, there is tremendous enthusiasm among the devotees regarding the yatra. Till 4 pm on Thursday, more than 22 lakh devotees have registered themselves for Char Dham. As per Chardham Yatra Registration Bulletin, through web portal, mobile app and WhatsApp.
Till now the number of registrations has reached 22,28,928. This time also the government showered flowers from helicopter on the occasion of opening of doors of Char Dham.
