New Delhi: Delhi Police has arrested a gang who used to lure poor and helpless parents by buying and selling their children. The crime branch busted this human trafficking racket and arrested six women involved in the racket. Police also recovered two newborn children from them.
These rackets used to sell children to needy people for two to three lakh rupees. The surprising thing is that they had also done a deal of more than 50 newborns. At present, 10 people to whom children have been sold have been identified by the police who have bought children.

These arrested women have been identified as Priya Jain (26) of Sahibabad, Priya of Mangolpuri, Kajal from West Patel Nagar, Rekha alias Anjali of Shahdara, Shivani (38) of Vishwas Nagar, Premvati of Gurugram. However, the mastermind of the gang is still absconding.
According to Crime Branch DCP Rajesh Dev, information was received about this gang on December 17, in which it was told that the gang members who kidnap and smuggle newborn children are coming near Gandhi Nagar to sell the newborn child. . Then the police caught three women involved in this gang as soon as they came. A newborn baby was also recovered from them. The newborn baby was seven to eight days old.

It has been found in the investigation that all the three women had reached Gandhi Nagar to sell the newborn. This child was arranged by a woman named Priyanka, who is a gang leader. After the arrest of the three, the police have arrested three other women along with another newborn. All three were about to deal with the child through a broker.

During the interrogation of the police, these women have confessed their crime. These people told that Priyanka and Kajal are their gang leaders. At present, Priyanka is absconding.

The women caught in the interrogation of the police told that all belong to a very poor family. Some time ago they came to know that eggs are sold at IVF center to get pregnant. Women who do not have children in the normal way, they get pregnant with the help of IVF. She donates her eggs to the centre. In return, they get 20 to 25 thousand rupees from the center.

There they met many such people who did not have children and they also wanted to buy a child. From there these people used to find customers. After preliminary investigation, it has been found that these people have now dealt with more than 50 children. The police have come to know about 10 such couples who have bought children from this gang. Kajal, a human trafficker made while selling eggs for pregnancy at IVF center, took many women to the IVF center, in return for which she got a commission by the center. Later, the accused women lured the egg donors to have a child at home by luring them with more money.

The women of the gang also used to confirm to the buyer that buying a newborn is not illegal. Priyanka has been involved in a similar case in the past as well. In JJ cluster and poor settlements, Kajal, Priyanka used to find out which women are pregnant here. Such women and their husbands were coaxed to sell them children. In return, one to one and a half lakh rupees were promised. Later, either himself or through a broker, the children were further sold and sold for two to three lakhs.
