Lucknow. UP police has left Sabarmati Jail with mafia don and former MP Atiq Ahmed. The UP STF team reached Sabarmati Jail on Sunday to bring Atiq Ahmed, the main accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, to Prayagraj. Atik is being brought for production in Prayagraj court of UP amidst tight security. There are a total of 45 officers in the police convoy to bring Atiq and out of these only 5 officers have phones. The phones of the rest of the officers have been deposited. The police do not want to take the risk of any lapse in security regarding Atik, so extra vigilance is being taken.
Gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed is being taken from Sabarmati Jail in Gujarat to Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh. A total of 6 vehicles have been included in his convoy. These include 2 Vajravahans along with 1 ambulance, 3 cars. At the time of writing the news, Atiq’s convoy was a few kilometers away from Udaipur. Atiq Ahmed was stopped at a petrol pump here. After stopping for some time, the convoy was again sent to Prayagraj. It has been told that during this time Atiq was taken down for some time for the toilet.
Modern security arrangements in armored vehicle
The road from Sabarmati to Prayagraj is about 1170 km long, which may take about 21 hours to complete. In Atiq’s convoy, along with police vehicles, media vehicles are also following them. Everyone’s eyes are fixed on the arrival of Atiq Ahmed. At the same time, the armored vehicle in which Atiq Ahmed is being taken also has special security arrangements. The police are sitting all around in this car, surrounding Atiq. It is fitted with CCTV cameras and can be easily monitored from the control room.
Atiq Ahmed had expressed fear of murder
After coming out of jail, Atiq Ahmed also made a big claim. In this, he also expressed the apprehension of an encounter. He said that the shoulder of the court is being used to kill me. On the other hand, Atiq Ahmed, climbing into the captive vehicle, said that he wants to kill me by using the shoulder of the court.
