A Shiva Temple Resides Within Remo D’Souza’s Home ( Remo D’Souza’s)

Remo D’Souza: Remo D’Souza     ( Remo D’Souza’s)   is one of the most successful choreographers in the industry and has now established himself as a filmmaker as well. Through his choreography, he has elevated numerous dance numbers in the industry to sheer brilliance. Alongside his professional life, Remo D’Souza frequently remains in the spotlight regarding his personal life. Today, Remo D’Souza possesses every luxury that one could possibly desire—from bungalows and cars to a distinct identity and a happy family; he has it all. However, reaching this pinnacle was by no means an easy feat for him. Remo D’Souza achieved this stature through sheer hard work, and glimpses of that dedication and patience—or ‘Sabr’—are evident even within his home.

Remo D’Souza’s Bungalow, ‘Sabr,’ Is Exquisitely Beautiful
Recently, Kamiya Jani of *Curly Tales* visited Remo D’Souza’s bungalow, aptly named ‘Sabr’ (Patience), and took viewers on a guided tour of this luxurious residence. During this visit, Remo D’Souza also spoke candidly about his struggles and his family life. In this vlog, Remo and his wife, Lizelle, showed everyone the most cherished and beautiful section of their home. This area houses a Shiva temple, where they have enshrined a *Shivling* (sacred symbol of Lord Shiva). Lizelle and Remo revealed that Lizelle performs *Jalabhishek*—the ritualistic pouring of water—over the enshrined *Shivling* every single day. Furthermore, there is another temple within Remo’s home where an idol of ‘Bappa’ (Lord Ganesha) is installed. Remo and Lizelle Share a Deep Faith in Lord Shiva
During a conversation, Remo and Lizelle revealed that although they are Christians, they harbor a deep faith in Lord Shiva. In fact, even before their current home was built—and before its architectural blueprint had even been drafted—the couple had already decided exactly where the *Shivling* (sacred Shiva idol) would be installed within the house. Lizelle explains that there was a Shiva temple located behind their previous home, where she would often go to perform *Jal Abhishek* (ritual water offering); however, she rarely found the opportunity to do so without interruption there. Often, while she was in the midst of her prayers, someone else would step in to perform their own *Abhishek*. Consequently, when they acquired their new home, they ensured that the *Shivling* was installed in its designated spot even before the architectural plans for the house were finalized.

A Snake Sighted in the Shiva Temple at Remo’s Home
During the interview, Lizelle recounted an incident where their domestic helper called her one day to report that she had spotted a snake inside the Shiva temple located within their home. Remo shared that he was originally a Hindu, but he used to volunteer extensively at a local church. Consequently, a pastor suggested that he embrace Christianity; thus, at the age of 15, he converted from Hinduism to Christianity. Remo revealed that his birth name is Ramesh Gopi Nair, and it was upon changing his religion that he adopted the name “Remo” in place of Ramesh. Nevertheless, he noted that even today, his devotion and faith in Lord Shiva remain just as profound as they were in the past. He also outlined his daily morning routine: he wakes up around 7:00 AM, performs his prayers and rituals, offers water to the *Shivling*, and performs the *Aarti* for “Bappa” (Lord Ganesha). Alongside these spiritual practices, he never forgets to set aside time to spend with his children and wife, as well as with his dogs and cat.
