More than 15 trains affected
Due to the derailment of the train, the track going towards Delhi has been disrupted. According to the railways, more than 15 trains have been affected. According to the information, the goods train derailed 800 meters ahead of Vrindavan Road station. The goods train was going towards Delhi carrying coal. More than 20 coaches of the goods train have derailed. The coaches have climbed over each other. Coal has spread all over the tracks.
Traffic halted on three railway lines
According to news agency PTI, 25 coaches of a goods train carrying coal for Suratgarh Power Plant in Mathura derailed near Vrindavan. Divisional Railway Manager Tej Prakash Agarwal told reporters that 25 coaches of a goods train going to Suratgarh Power Plant derailed while crossing the Vrindavan yard. He said that due to this incident, traffic on three railway lines came to a halt.
Hundreds of people affected
Aggarwal said that the reasons for the incident have not been ascertained yet. He said that efforts are being made to restore the affected rail traffic. Hundreds of people are facing problems due to the halt in traffic on the railway track.
Goods train also derailed in Bihar
On the other hand, four bogies of the goods train derailed in Samastipur and Muzaffarpur in Bihar. Four coaches of a goods train coming from Bhilai on the railway track got derailed. This incident happened late in the evening near Narayanpur railway station on the Muzaffarpur and Samastipur main railway line. During this time, dozens of trains on up and down lines on both routes got affected.
