Know why earthquake occurs
The interior of the Earth is made up of different plates. These are called tectonic plates. There are a total of 7 such plates inside the earth. The thickness of each of these plates is about 100 kilometers. Often these plates keep on sliding and there is friction with the nearby plates. Sometimes this friction increases so much that one plate climbs on top of the other, due to which movement is felt on the surface. By the way, earthquakes of less than 5 magnitude are usually less damaging. On the other hand, an earthquake with a magnitude of 5 or more can cause huge loss of life and property.
Heavy devastation in these countries
Let us tell you that this year two earthquakes of magnitude 7 in Turkey and Syria had caused huge devastation. In which more than 50 thousand people had died and lakhs of people were injured. In the year 2011, there was an earthquake of magnitude 9 off the coast of Tapan. Due to this, the canals of Tsunami had arisen here and there was a huge devastation. About 20 thousand people were killed in this earthquake. And before this, in the year 2006, there was an earthquake in Indonesia with a magnitude of 9 and in that too more than 5 thousand people died.
