Stampede continues in Congress

New Delhi. In the past, the number of leaders moving from Congress party to other parties has been increasing continuously. The leaders left the Congress and joined the Samajwadi Party, Bharatiya Janata Party and Trinamool Congress. One such leader is Lalitesh Pati Tripathi. Lalitesh also officially joined the Trinamool Congress on Monday.

Lalitesh, the great-grandson of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kamala Pati Tripathi, hails from the Purvanchal area of UP. After becoming the in-charge of UP, when Priyanka Gandhi took out the Ganga Yatra, pictures of Akhilesh were often seen with her. Lalitesh was made the vice-president of the UP Congress. Along with this, he also contested against Anupriya Patel from Mirzapur.

Lalitesh Tripathi leaving the Congress may not be portrayed as a big loss, but its effects are huge. This means that despite Priyanka’s strong efforts, leaders are still not looking at the Congress as an alternative to the BJP. Samajwadi Party and Trinamool are emerging as serious opposition to Congress in this matter.
Talking about opposition unity, these parties are not missing the opportunity to bring Congress leaders to their side. Although personally, Mamata Banerjee had given preference to Priyanka Gandhi over Rahul Gandhi. But despite this, Mamata Banerjee is giving importance to a political rival of Congress in Uttar Pradesh rather than Congress.

Therefore, it is not surprising that Mamata Banerjee has decided to campaign in support of the Samajwadi Party in the 2022 assembly elections. In such a situation, leaving the party close to Priyanka Gandhi is being seen as a big setback. Because he had big plans and hopes for Lalitesh. Along with this, Trinamool has also entered the already busy UP elections. If these parties become aggressive then only the chances of Congress will be weakened. And this matter is not only of UP but also of other states where AAP, TMC and SP want to reach out.

Mamta Banerjee said on Monday – UP is not new to me. I have gone there many times for campaigning. Congress could not reach Lakhimpur Kheri, but we did. Sitting in Bengal, I am trying to do everything for the farmers’ movement. In view of these situations, Sonia Gandhi has called a meeting of the state presidents of the party on Tuesday. It is believed that in this meeting a strategy will be prepared to stay in the race.
