‘New Delhi: As the release date of Shahrukh Khan-Deepika Padukone starrer film ‘Pathan’ is coming closer, its difficulties are increasing. Due to the song ‘Besharam Rang’, ‘Pathan’ was not only boycotted, but threats were also received by Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone.
In ‘Besharam Rang’, Deepika was forced to wear a saffron colored swimsuit, due to which the makers were accused of hurting the religious sentiments of the people. Now the Central Board of Film Certification has given instructions to make necessary changes in the song. According to media reports, when the film ‘Pathan’ reached CBFC for certification, its chairman Prasoon Joshi ordered changes in the song.
The makers now have to make changes in the songs and film as per the committee’s recommendation and submit the film with all the changes as per the committee’s understanding, before releasing the film. According to media reports, Prasoon Joshi said in a statement, ‘CBFC is working to strike a balance between the emotions and creative expression of the audience. We are confident that a solution can be found through dialogue.
Prasoon Joshi further said in the statement, ‘We have to be careful about our glorious culture and beliefs, so that things do not go away from the truth. There should be trust between the audience and the creators. Let us tell you that ‘Pathan’ is made under the direction of Siddharth Anand, whose song ‘Besharam Rang’ had expressed displeasure by many leaders.
