Mumbai. In the case of TV actress Tunisha Sharma’s suicide, the police have registered a case against the actress’s co-star Sheejan Mohammad Khan and arrested him. Tunisha was also playing the lead role of Princess Mariam in SAB TV’s upcoming show Ali Baba Dastaan-e-Kabul in which Sheejan was playing her opposite character. An FIR has been registered against Sheejan under IPC 306, which means abetment to suicide. According to the police, Sheejan will be presented in Vasai court today.
Section 306 of the IPC states that if a person commits suicide, whoever abets that person to commit such suicide. shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term not exceeding ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.
To solve every mystery of Tunisha’s death, the Mumbai Police interrogated the people present there on the set of the serial, after which Sheejan was arrested. Police informed an officer that Tunisha had gone to the washroom but when she did not return for a long time, the door was broken open where her body was found hanging.
