The Supreme Court heard the central government

New Delhi. Despite the recommendation of the Collegium, the Supreme Court has slammed the Central Government for not appointing judges in the High Court and the Supreme Court. During the hearing on the issue on Monday, the apex court said that ‘it seems that the government is unhappy with the cancellation of NJAC. How will the system work if the central government is sitting on the appointment of judges. Do not force us to decide on the judicial side.’ The court asked the AG and SG to ‘advise the government to ensure that the law of the land is followed’. The next hearing in the case will be on December 8.
