The students got electrocuted.

Kolkata. 10 students of a hostel in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal got electrocuted. Due to this, 5 seriously injured students have been admitted to Kakdweep Super Specialty Hospital. It is being told that all these students got electrocuted due to broken electric wire. More details about this incident are still awaited.

A big accident of electrocution happened in West Bengal on July 31 this year. Ten pilgrims from Sitalkuchi’s Chandrabanda in North Bengal’s Coochbehar were electrocuted while 16 were injured while on their way to Jalpesh Temple in Jalpaiguri. All of them had accidentally touched a bare wire running the generator. This terrible accident took place on the Dharla river bridge in Chandrabanda, Mekhliganj, Coochbehar. All 26 people injured due to electrocution were taken to the Block Primary Health Unit, where 10 were declared brought dead.
Another 16 were referred to Jalpaiguri Hospital. It was told that he had hired a pickup van from Sitalkuchi to go to Jalpesh. He had hired a speaker system connected to a generator. It was raining, and it is speculated that the rainwater caused a short circuit in the system, electrocuting them all. CM Mamta Banerjee had also expressed grief over this terrible accident. He had said that ‘I have sympathy and solidarity with the families of the 10 pilgrims of Sitalkuchi in Coochbehar. Who died in an accident today on the way to Jalpesh temple.
