Results of Combined Defense Services Examination: Union Public Service Commission has released the final result of Combined Defense Services Examination (I), 2022 i.e. UPSC CDS, held in April, 2022. In the results of CDS (I), 2022 released by Union Public Service Commission, 164 candidates have qualified on the basis of SSB interview conducted by Services Selection Board of Ministry of Defence.
Union Public Service Commission has also released the merit list of 164 (104+46+14) candidates who have qualified on the basis of results of Combined Defense Services Examination (I), 2022 held in the month of April. Successful candidates will now have to appear for admission to the 154th (DE) course of the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, 2022 and SSB interview conducted by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence; The training will be imparted after enrolling in Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course i.e. No. 213F(P) Course.
The number of vacancies notified by the government in the Combined Defense Services Entrance Examination (I) is 100 for Indian Military Academy. Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala 22 vacancies for Executive Branch (General Service), including 13 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate (Army Wing) holders; including 03 vacancies for Hydro NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders in Naval Wing through NCC Special Entry and 32 vacancies for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad; Whereas 03 entry vacancies are reserved for NCC Air Wing ‘C’ certificate holders through NCC Special Entry.
The process of verification of educational qualification is going on.
The commission had declared 2612, 933 and 616 qualified in the written test for admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy respectively. There are number of finally qualified candidates after SSB exam conducted by Army HQ. However, the results of the clinical trials have not been taken into account in preparing these lists. The process of verification of date of birth and educational qualification of these candidates by the Army Headquarters is still underway. Hence the candidature of all these candidates is provisional on this score. Candidates are requested to forward their certificates in original along with photostat attested copies to Army Headquarters/ Naval Headquarters/ Air Headquarters, as per their first choice, in support of Date of Birth/ Educational Qualification etc.

These results will also be available on UPSC’s website upsc.gov.in. However, the marks of the candidates will be available on the website after the declaration of the final result of Officers Training Academy (OTA) for Combined Defense Services Examination (I), 2022.
