London. Indian-origin Suella Braverman has resigned as Britain’s Home Minister. Braverman, the son of a Goa-born father and a Tamil-origin mother, was appointed Home Minister 43 days before British Prime Minister Liz Truss took office at 10 Downing Street. Earlier, Braverman had a meeting with Prime Minister Truss on Wednesday and it is not being seen as a result of disagreement over government policy. Krasinski Quarteng was fired last Friday and his successor, Finance Minister Jeremy Hunt, cut the government’s mini-budget on Monday.
