Jaipur- The decision of who will be the successor of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in Rajasthan can be decided in the legislative party meeting to be held in CMR at 7 pm on Sunday. For this meeting, AICC along with state in-charge Ajay Maken has sent Mallikarjun Kharge to Jaipur as an observer. Both these leaders will discuss the name of the next Chief Minister with the MLAs in the Legislature Party meeting. After this this report will be submitted to the high command in Delhi. The Chief Minister is selected in the same manner in the Congress. However, the name can also be sent after finalizing on behalf of the high command in the meeting. If this happens, then in the meeting there will be an attempt to unite all the MLAs on that name too. However, this is less likely at the moment. Right now in the meeting, efforts can be made to know from the MLAs their opinion only.

Although it has not been officially confirmed yet, but informal information has reached many Congress MLAs and ministers about it. But the biggest question is still whether Ashok Gehlot will resign from the chief minister’s post with the nomination or he will leave the chief minister’s post after becoming the national president of Congress. But the way Congress Legislature Party meeting has been called. It is being speculated that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot may resign from the post of Chief Minister along with filing his nomination.
Right now is not the right time for change of leadership in the state – Khachariyawas
After meeting Rahul Gandhi in Kochi, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had made it clear that he would resign from the chief minister’s post as soon as he became the national president of the Congress. He had said, taking the responsibility of another post with an important post like National President will not do justice to this big post. We will meet Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and request that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot should be allowed to hold both the posts for the next one and a half years. While Gehlot cabinet minister Govind Ram Meghwal has also advocated for Gehlot for both the posts. Along with this, independent MLA Sanyam Lodha tweeted and said – Political decisions cannot be made on the basis of rules. The need of the hour, need, opinion, expectation, expectation, only a mixture of all can make the path of success of the decision. Retweeting this, Minister Subhash Garg said- Exactly written, I note that Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was the National President of Congress from 1960 to 1963. He was the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh from 20 March 1962 to 20 February 1964.
Pilot is the only option after Gehlot: Minister Rajendra Gudha
Rajendra Gudha, who became a minister by joining the Congress from the BSP, had given a statement on Friday that if there is any popular leader after Gehlot in the state, then it is Sachin Pilot. He had said that if Sachin Pilot is made the Chief Minister, then the Congress government can be repeated in the year 2023. At the same time, regarding other names for the post of Chief Minister, he had said that there can be no other alternative to Sachin Pilot in the state.
