Omar Abdullah defers indefinitely the petitions against Article 370

Srinagar . Two days after Justice NV Ramana retired as the Chief Justice, National Conference (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah alleged that he had “too easily put off indefinitely” the petitions against the abrogation of provisionof Article 370. Significantly, on August 5, 2019, the Center had abrogated most of the provisions of Article 370, which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir.

Abdullah took to Twitter in April this year to share a news story about CJI Raman’s comments that the Supreme Court would hear the petitions after the summer vacations, and then he retired without constituting a bench. They very easily postponed these matters indefinitely. Perhaps it has something to do with the way serious matters are handled.
